    Hands down...THE best donut and rolls you can get around in this area. I make the 25 minute drive just for the butter cream rolls. So decadent and the staff pour their souls into their work. Love this place.

    They're amazing! The Buttercreams are what get you there, but it's a shame if you don't try Apple Pockets, German Choc. Cinnamon Rolls or Caramel covered Apple Fritters..

    I've tried A LOT of doughnuts, and Carl's Bakery makes the best. The most compelling reason to spend hours in a car to make the pilgrimage, however, are the long johns and the apple fritters. And the bbqs. And buttercreams.
